Twenty Princes Street has made a real impression on the dining scene in Edinburgh since it opened in Summer 2013 and has become a firm favourite with locals and visitors to the city – gaining an enviable reputation for its innovative, seasonal menus and extensive drinks menu, as well as stunning panoramic views over Princes Street, the Old Town and all the way up towards the Castle.

Situated on the first floor of the stylish, new Hotel Indigo Edinburgh – Princes Street (formerly the Royal British), Twenty presents a wondrously elegant and stunning setting that is sure to bewitch even the most cosmopolitan of patrons, offering a trendy and sophisticated dining experience where the ambience is refreshingly informal and the atmosphere is glamorous, but not glitzy.

The restaurant’s interiors are a blend of old and new; triple-height bay windows and period features nodding to its Victorian heritage, while illuminated curved leather and walnut booths and shiny marbles tables give the restaurant some contemporary credentials.   Light and bright, with walls adorned with pictures and photographs reflecting the history of Edinburgh and the most amazing views in town, Twenty Princes Street is captivating and capacious with a fabulous wine wall that adds further interest to the room.

One of the most eye-catching elements is the stunning ornate ceiling which has been sympathetically reinstated and dazzling designer light fittings loom majestically overhead in this large yet intimate space.

Their chef demonstrates culinary flair with an inventive and eclectic menu that keeps apace with the seasons, using a wide range of Scottish produce and only the finest locally sourced ingredients.

 Juniper – the bar

Adjacent to Twenty, with panoramic views overlooking the city, Juniper is a vibrant and sophisticated cocktail bar, serving up an eclectic menu with a mix of forgotten classics, modern masterpieces and everything in between, as well as an extensive drinks lists, complemented by an amazing street food menu.

The Library at Juniper

Head through Juniper and you’ll find The Library, with large bay windows, an original fireplace and big, comfy wingback chairs that you’ll just want to snuggle into.   With warm and inviting furnishings, original artwork and subtle lighting, the library has a relaxed and informal ambience that you won’t find in many bars – particularly ones of this calibre – a quiet spot to relax with the newspapers or a good book.

The Library is also a unique setting for events, celebrations and get-togethers and is available on an exclusive use basis on selected dates for up to 50 guests for a reception.

An exceptional feature of the hotel is the unparalleled, panoramic views of Edinburgh Castle and the Old Town and this is one of the key features of the acclaimed Twenty Princes Street  restaurant and Juniper cocktail bar, two of the city’s most popular destination venues.
