over 1 year AGOAdministrator
Contemporary American restaurant and lounge group, Caramel, is excited to launch its new site on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge at the end of March. The fabulously located 120 cover restaurant and lounge will offer a variety of internationally inspired food and drink from dusk ‘til dawn, all specially curated for Caramel London.
Crafted by chef Sunil Vaz, Caramel London’s signature menu will be available for both lunch and dinner, listing a variety of dishes including TNT shrimp, Caramel’s petite beef sliders and lobster tempura. It is the perfect flexible dining option, ideal for sharing or for a 3 or 4-course meal. Caramel London will serve breakfast, brunch, afternoon tea, and desserts. Breakfast will include the delicious chicken sweet potato hash while for brunch, mains will include Chinese chicken salad and honey & Pecorino ravioli. An assortment of finger sandwiches and delicate sweet and savoury delights will be presented for afternoon tea, starting from £37pp.
Caramel London will have a range of signature cocktails and an extensive spirit list, all chosen by well-known hospitality mixologist, Bryan Pietersen. Cocktails will include the Brompton Garden made with Bombay Sapphire infused with orange, Kamm & Sons, lime, London Essence Co bitter orange & elderflower tonic as well as Sweet Habibi created with Bacardi Blanca infused with basil, maraschino, lime and elderflower. A wide-ranging wine list will be available, specially designed by Caramel’s very own Edgar Lagassi and wine expert, Christopher Cooper. From New World to Europe, the varied wine list will feature a dynamic array of flavours to suit everyone’s tastes.
Boasting sophisticated and stylish interiors, designed by Dubai based Bishop Design LLC, and located on the outskirts of London’s design quarter, Caramel London will be the perfect spot for pre and post shopping excursions. The interiors will comprise internationally sourced backlit onyx trims, marbled surfaces and sleek Italian ceramic tiles. Inspired by the Art Deco era with dynamic finishes of natural metals such as copper and brass, Caramel London features plush upholstery and bold styling. The site is a natural evolution of the existing brand, where all elements come together in a perfect equilibrium. It combines unique statement furniture and visually striking light fittings by the likes of Bishop Design LLC and Rogue, creating a true vision of beauty and intrigue that engages all of the senses.
Founder and owner of Caramel Group, Mohammed Al Hashimi, commented on the imminent launch: “The Caramel restaurant and lounge concept has proved overwhelmingly popular internationally and I’m confident that the stylish and upmarket brand will fit in very well in Knightsbridge. Each individual site is unique and we tailor them to the locations that each of the restaurant lounges is situated in. At the London site, for example, we’ve added in an afternoon tea to our offering, providing Londoners and tourists alike with an unrivalled all day food and drink offering in a stunning setting.”
